Data Center Security

Our Data Center, which is part of a statewide data center and fiber optic network, provides business continuity, disaster recovery, and industry-leading security.

Physical Security

  • Intrusion Control: Multiple layers of security with on-site personnel.
  • Redundant power systems include a two megawatt generator, transfer switch, UPS systems, battery plants, and flexible power configurations.

Network Security

  • Firewall Protection: All data is stored on servers behind a firewall, which provides multiple layers of security.
  • Data Encryption: All information is transmitted through 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which encrypts the data between the client’s browser and the web server. Dairy.com cannot be accessed through an unsecured connection.

Solution-Level Security

  • Session Expiration (user-defined): If users do not perform any action for a specified length of time, the Dairy.com session is automatically terminated. Users must sign in again to continue using Dairy.com.
  • Password Protection: Every user has a unique user name and password, which is governed by the company administrator. These are stored in an encrypted format. Only a user knows his or her password.
  • User Permissions: Administrators define specific levels of user access.

Disaster Recovery Plan and Procedures

  • Warm fail-over environment makes it possible to quickly restore operations should a major event occur.
  • Redundant Servers minimize downtime in the event of server failure, planned maintenance, or disaster.
  • Frequent Backups: Dairy.com regularly backs up all data as part of its disaster recovery plan.
